![]() Home > Surgeon General's Priorities and the MRCThe Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) plays a key role in addressing the Surgeon General’s Public Health Priorities. The MRC may expand their activities to build a stronger public health infrastructure by leveraging existing relationships and building new partnerships. The end result for the MRC is incorporating health literacy, disease prevention, the elimination of health disparities, and strengthening public health emergency preparedness efforts in their activities nationwide. MRC volunteers serve as Public Health Ambassadors for the Surgeon General and provide community awareness to strengthen public health, emergency response, and community resiliency.
